Skills for life
Adult Volunteers
You can make a real difference, whether you can help every week or only occasionally.
Help create opportunities for young people
1st Edithvale depends on adult volunteers with different backgrounds, interests and amounts of available time. You do not need to have been a Scout. Training, mentoring and support are provided.
Leaders of Youth
Work directly with a Joey, Cub, Scout, Venturer or Rover Unit. Help young people plan activities, learn skills and take on safe, age-appropriate challenges.
Support roles
Help with administration, fundraising, equipment, maintenance, events, governance, specialist activities or the Group Support Committee.
What volunteers gain
- Leadership, communication and teamwork experience
- Training and ongoing learning
- New friendships and a supportive network
- Time outdoors and opportunities to try new activities
- The satisfaction of helping young people build skills for life
Child safety comes first.
Adults complete the screening, checks and training required for their role before working with young people.
